Pls speed I need this
A gunstock I designed. It's pretty simple and customizable and doesn't need any external hardware. Fits both Quest 2 and 3 (and probably pro).
I was able to track the controller cups back to this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6314268
Depending on the parts you pick the print takes 13.5 - 28 hours (the 59h listed is for every part and variation there is).
Features:
- all the parts fit each other so you can arrange them however you want,
- sturdy design (It's still plastic but it's pretty good),
- adjustable cheek rest,
- sling attachment points,
- different versions of the stock and controller cups,
- bolts to secure it,
- lengtheners to make it longer (duh)
buttstock options:
- adjustable cheek rest (photo 2, plate named “gunstock”)
- no cheek rest (photo 3, plate named “gunstock lite” )
- no cheek rest & lower profile good for e.g. shotguns(not in the photos, plate named “gunstock lite low”)
- non-adjustable cheek rest - longer and doesn't interfere with the headset as much overall a better design in my opinion (photo 4, plate named “gunstock(new)”)
Tips:
- The more infill and walls you add the more sturdy it will be,
- if a bolt is too tight (or too loose) don't force it, resize it in the slicer and reprint,
- I had to make the tolerances pretty loose as the parts are printed in different orientations so if a connection is wobbly I like to put a little bit of paper in between it to make it more sturdy,
- on SteamVR you can calibrate your controller positions pretty accurately
Hope you like it.
