Design
Nabu Casa's new Zigbee and thread fidget ZBT-2 adapter unfortunately no longer had a good spot on the shelf without being too close to other antennas. So a wall solution was needed.
I kept the design as compact as possible without sacrificing stability. And while I was at it, a suitable version for the Multiboard System was also created.

Variants
There are two variants each for the wall, IKEA SKADIS, and Multiboard versions.
One variant requires a USB-C male-to-USB-C female adapter with a 90° angle so that the cable can be routed downwards. Alternatively, you can use a cable with a suitable angled connector.
In the other variant, the USB-C cable is routed either to the right or to the left – depending on what best suits your setup.

Mounting

  • Wall
The distance between the screw holes in the wall plate is 77 mm.
The screws I used are M4x20 mm, and the screw heads have a diameter of 7.8 mm.
  • Multiboard
Mounting to the Multiboard wall can be done using this connection: 2x Big Thread Multipoint.
This ensures the adapter sits securely yet can be easily removed if needed.
  • IKEA SKADIS BOARD
    Simply print and hang.

Printing
I used PLA Basic from Bambu Lab – it works really great here.
I set the layer height to 0.1 mm to avoid any issues with the dovetail joint. Additionally, this makes the surface a bit finer and more appealing.
Only the hooks of the IKEA SKADIS BOARD mount  require support structures, but these are very small and easy to remove.
