Description

Turn 1 cent into a Million-Dollar gift! (ok maybe not, but it looks cool)

Looking for a unique gift, a way to commemorate a special year (birth year, anniversary, graduation), or just a way to carry some good luck around? This Lucky Penny Pendant is quick print at under a gram of filament that turns pocket change into a conversation piece.

This is a "Pause-to-Embed" technique.

  1. Slice & Print: The print profile includes a pre-set pause command right before the top closure layers start.
  2. Insert: When the printer pauses, place your coin into the cavity and make sure it's flat!
  3. Resume: Hit resume and the printer will seal the penny inside. (takes diagonal cutters to remove)
  4. Add a chain:

    4. Keychain: see MakerWorld link below

Adjustments

In my measuring, coins have various levels of wear. If you have a brand new coin and/or want a looser fit that lets the coin spin, try increasing the x/y by ~2%. Likewise, if it's a well worn coin, decrease x/y by ~1%. Z should not require adjustments in either case.

Happy Printing! If you make one, please upload a photo!
