Description

Professional print profile for Tinmorry TPU 95A, optimized specifically for the Bambu Lab P1S, with direct spool feed (no AMS).
This profile is tuned for a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height, providing stable, repeatable results for flexible functional parts.

The profile was developed using dynamic flow calibration, pressure advance tuning and speed optimization tailored to TPU’s soft extrusion behavior.

Important

To achieve proper print quality, you must set :

  • Flow Ratio - 0.837
  • Nozzle Temperature - 230c
  • Print Bed Temperature - 1c
  • K-Factor / Pressure Advance - 0.168

Each 3D Printer behaves slightly differently, and TPU 95A requires different tuning than PLA or stiffer TPU types.
If you are unsure how to adjust these parameters, please refer to the recommended video

How to use

  1. Load the profile.
  2. Replace the Benchy with your own model.
  3. Enter your calibrated Flow, Nozzle Temp, Print Bed and K-Factor.
  4. Start the print and monitor the first layer.

All modified parameters are shown in the profile photos.

Material notes – Tinmorry TPU 95A

  • hardness 95A: semi-flexible, durable, impact-resistant
  • strong layer bonding at moderate speeds
  • retains shape better than soft TPE, but still needs controlled flow
  • prone to stringing if printed too hot or with excessive retraction
  • ideal for phone cases, bumpers, vibration dampers, functional clips, grips and outdoor parts

Moisture & Drying

TPU absorbs moisture extremely quickly.
To avoid bubbles, popping sounds, rough surfaces and inconsistent extrusion, the filament must be dried for several hours (3–6 h) at 45–55°C before printing.

For best results, print directly from a filament dryer

Recommended settings for P1S – 0.4 mm nozzle

The profile is optimized for the P1S’s direct drive and motion system:

  • Print Speed: 30–45 mm/s
  • Wall Speed: 25–30 mm/s
  • Retraction: minimal — around 0.5 mm at 20 mm/s
  • Cooling: 15–30%
  • First Layer: 15–18 mm/s
  • Travel: default P1S values are fine

These settings take advantage of the A1’s strong flow control while maintaining TPU stability with a larger nozzle and thicker layer.

Why this profile

This profile is designed for users who want to print TPU 95A:
– with a 0.4 mm nozzle
– at 0.2 mm layer height
without AMS, directly from the spool
– with high durability, strength, flexibility and reliable layer adhesion

It shortens print time, improves extrusion stability and reduces typical TPU problems such as wall waviness, inconsistent line width and excessive stringing.
