Description

The LG C2 is one of the most popular TVs for virtual pinball since its measurements are almost perfect for a standard cabinet.

However, the built-in Button/IR Board sticks out about 1–2 cm from the bottom, which means it won’t fit without a small modification.

Since I didn’t want to remove the board, I designed a simple mount that lets you relocate the board into the same general area, still fully accessible but without it protruding below the TV. This keeps the buttons and IR sensor usable while holding everything securely in place, without risking damage to the surrounding components.

Installation

  1. Unscrew the backplate of the TV and carefully lift it off.
(I found it easiest to start from the bottom center and work my way toward the edges.)
  2. Gently remove the plastic piece holding the board in place.
    It’s secured by two clips.
  3. Separate the two plastic holders around the board and unscrew the board.
    Keep the screws.
  4. Take this printed model and press it into place until it clicks and locks firmly.
  5. Place the board on top of the model and reuse the original screws to secure it.
  6. The TV backplate has a small plastic section that protrudes into this area.
You will need to trim this off for clearance.
  7. Reinstall the backplate and you’re done.

This model is made for the LG C2 43 Inch but might work for other models too.
