Snowman planter on sleigh swing

Hey makers!

I'm excited to share my latest creation with you: a charming snowman planter, perfect for bringing some festive cheer to your home! This little guy sits on a delightful sleigh-shaped swing, and I've designed it to be super versatile – you can either hang it up (just add your own twine!) or simply place it on a shelf, desk, or windowsill.

I personally printed this model in PLA on my Bambulab A1 (no AMS needed!), and it came out beautifully. I focused on making it an easy and satisfying print for anyone with an FDM printer. The snowman body holds a small plant or flower perfectly – I'm thinking a Poinsettia would look fantastic in there for the holidays!

A few technical details and features I'm proud of:

• Optimized for FDM: I've ensured clean geometry and minimal overhangs for a smooth printing experience. No crazy supports needed for the main body!
• Dual Sleigh Option: This is where it gets fun!
  • 3D Printed Sleigh: The included STL files for the sleigh are designed for easy printing, matching the aesthetic of the snowman.
  • Laser-Cut Sleigh (ask me for DXF): For those with access to a laser cutter, I've also included DXF files for the sleigh. This means you can create a beautiful, sturdy wooden sleigh for a lovely contrast, giving it a more premium, crafted feel. Just imagine it in thin plywood or MDF!
• Modular Design: The snowman and sleigh are separate pieces, allowing for multi-color printing even without an AMS, or for mixing materials (e.g., printed snowman, laser-cut sleigh).

• Designed for Plants: The pot cavity is sized for small plants, with a thought towards drainage (though adding a small drain hole post-print is always an option depending on your plant choice).
