Stern Pinball Steel Apron Card Surround

I use to make and sell these in SLS from Shapeways but they went bust, so finally created with good supports so you can print on a filament printer.

These are for Stern Pinball - Premium / LE games only that have a Steel Apron or a steel apron from Pinball Life. These will not suit the plastic aprons that are installed in a Stern Pro Game.

It is a custom surround that your apron game card simply slides into a groove and then keeps the game card nice and flat and then the Stern Pinball Steel Apron Card Holder drops into the aprons slots and can easily pop out or for a fall risk free fit a couple bits of double sided tape on the back so not to fall out of the apron when the playfield is lifted up.

This mod gets rid of the ugly look of apron cards folding upwards and you can either make the card stand out by using a contrasting / bright colour and make it a feature or colour matching so blends in but cleans up the card.

Print in the colour of your choice. I printed samples in Lime Green but have a few older photos of the SLS printed and dye coloured sitting in a couple of games.

It is a longer print as you need to print vertically to minimise supports but supports are still needed.

There is a trick to pulling the support off:

• remove the print from the build plate
• remove the brim first
• then wiggle and pull the bottom off the tree support off the printed locator - it levers off so will be a little firm as it hugs the locator and then will pop off fairly easily.
• then the smaller top supports remove very easily
• quick clean up and you are ready to enjoy.
