Bill of Materials
Description
These little lanterns are my take on the iconic houses at Stortorget in Stockholm’s Old Town. If you have ever visited the iconic Christmas market that fills the square every winter, you know exactly the kind of warm, nostalgic feeling these facades give off. That was the mood I wanted to capture with this project.
The houses are not 100 percent authentic replicas. Some architectural details are simply too small to print cleanly at this scale, so this is my own interpretation of the buildings, keeping the shapes and character while simplifying the tiny elements.
The model comes in two print profiles.
One profile gives you each house as a separate piece, perfect if you want to spread them out or mix colors. They are sized for LED tealights up to 40 mm in diameter.
The second profile groups the houses two-and-two, so you only need to print three parts in total. Nice if you want a sturdy, continuous lineup.
Some of the internal support can be a bit fiddly to remove. Slow and steady does the trick.
Perfect for windowsills, bookshelves, or as a cozy winter decoration.
Just remember: LED lights only.
