Modular Illuminated Christmas Scene

This project emerges from a very simple idea: to create a vibrant, adaptable, and completely customizable Christmas through 3D printing

For this, I have designed a universal base, compatible with an LED strip that illuminates the scene from below, creating a warm, soft, and magical effect. Different Christmas figures can be placed on this base, all interchangeable with each other

Each piece is designed with a standard thickness of 3 mm, ensuring a perfect fit into the base's slot. Figures can be scaled up or down in size without losing compatibility, as long as they maintain that thickness. Thanks to this, the system is modular, versatile, and very easy to customize

Available scenes include classic and modern options:
🎄 Christmas trees in different styles.
🤱 Complete Nativity scene, with Mary, Joseph, the Child, the ox, and the mule.
🎅 Santa Claus with his sleigh and moving reindeer.
👑 The Three Wise Men advancing in procession.
🏘️ A village inspired by Betanzos (A Coruña, Spain), as a small personal tribute

For materials, I use white PLA when seeking a clean and elegant finish, and PETG Translucent when I want a luminous effect that “comes alive” when the LEDs are turned on. The result is a combination of soft shadows, defined contours, and an enveloping glow that completely transforms each scene

The most special thing about this design is that there isn't just one Christmas.
Each person can combine figures, mix them, replace them, or even create their own to generate a unique scene. The base is always the same, but the possibilities are infinite

This project is designed to be shared and grown.
