Description
Clothes Rod Mount for Sloped Ceilings
This 3D‑printable design is a practical flange/mount specifically developed for installation on sloped ceilings. The construction allows a standard round rod to be securely fitted, creating a stable clothes rail for attic or sloped spaces. I printed this model in PETG, but it will certainly also work in PLA.
Features
- Angled mounting surface: The flange can be directly screwed onto the sloped ceiling.
- Rod holder: Central bore with Ø 23.5 mm, suitable for common round rods. Additional diameters can be provided upon request.
- Countersunk screw holes: Mounting holes are recessed so screw heads sit flush.
- Customizable: Holes can be drilled into the rod and dowels inserted to hold clothes hangers securely.
- Space‑saving: Perfect for rooms with sloped ceilings to add extra storage for clothing.
Easy manufacturing: The model is optimized for 3D printing and can be printed without support structures.
Application
- Attach the flange to the sloped ceiling using screws.
- Insert the round rod (Ø 23.5 mm) into the bore; for extra stability, it can also be screwed from behind.
- Drill holes in the rod and insert 6 mm dowels as needed to securely hang clothes hangers.
The result is a custom clothes rail for sloped ceilings.
I originally designed this model for my own use, which is why the rod holder is currently set to Ø 23.5 mm only. However, I am happy to adapt the bore to other diameters if needed and make the updated file available.
