Modular Bricks Remote (CyberBrick Remote)

Hi, I’d like to introduce my new design – the Modular Bricks Remote. It’s not just a remote control, but also a creative concept tailored for CyberBrick. I’ve designed a set of housings with consistent specifications for each CyberBrick hardware component, turning each hardware into a Basic Modular Brick. Additionally, I’ve developed some Expansion Layout Parts that adhere to the same specifications. As the variety of hardware components grows, the range of such Basic Modular Bricks will become even more diverse.

With these bricks, you can freely and quickly assemble a prototype of your creation, allowing you to turn your initial ideas into reality faster. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast, a beginner, or an STEM educator, you’ll find joy in it.

It consists of three components:

Basic Modular Bricks: Composed of CyberBrick hardware and housings, they adhere to the same design specifications. The bricks can be quickly assembled via pins;

Standard Remote Parts: These can be rapidly combined with Basic Modular Bricks to form a standard remote control. This remote features replaceable modules, offers easy assembly, and provides a comfortable grip;

Expansion Layout Parts: Use them to freely arrange and combine Basic Modular Bricks, creating your custom remote control. From simple vehicles to engineering and mechanical models requiring complex controls, you’ll find a layout that suits your needs.

Standard Remote

I’ve divided the remote control into four zones, each allowing for the free installation of these Basic Modular Bricks. This design not only fully implements all the functions of the CyberBrick official Standard Remote but also enables customization for more functional combinations.

Custom Layout Remote

The Basic Modular Bricks can be assembled with each other or with the assistance of Expansion Layout Parts. Of course, they are also compatible with your existing Technic Bricks if you have any. This allows you to freely build remote controls of various shapes and forms, making CyberBrick creations even more enjoyable.

The CyberBrick Files provides the wiring and configuration for the modular bricks standard remote , and this program can control the CyberBrick Mini T. If you need to adjust the combination of modular bricks, you’ll need to modify the corresponding wiring in the edit section of the software/APP.

For this series, I had to consider not only the individual modular bricks but also their mutual assembly. That’s why I invested a great deal of time in testing and optimization. The basic modular bricks currently launched are designed for remote controls, and more bricks compatible with other CyberBrick hardware will be released later.

・If you want to build a modular bricks standard remote control and a vehicle, you can purchase the CyberBrick Mini Tank - ZL002. It includes all the hardware required for one tank and one standard remote control. This kit comes with the CyberBrick Beginner Hardware Kit - ZK004, plus an extra li-ion battery and switch, which enhances the remote control’s battery life. In addition to the mini tank, it can also be used to build other remote-controlled vehicles.

・If you already own a CyberBrick Hardware Kit, we recommend buying the Extra Rechargeable Battery Upgrade Kit - ZL003 to ensure the remote control maintains reliable performance.

・If you need a custom layout remote control, you can choose to purchase individual hardware components separately.
