Description

The Design

The Pokeball Click-a-Ball Fidget - an extremely satisfying and relaxing fidget clicker ball

It needs 9 Clickers also known are mechanical keyboard switches - the type i used is picture below

The segments all move independently as well as the button.

It doesn't open up unfortunately, just a lovely clicker ball.

Let me know if you experience any issues.

Clicker type i used (i haven't tried others) - when fitting ensure they are pushed in flat to the surface (they are tight fitting)

Assembly should be fairly straight forward.

  1. Add the Clickers to the main b all
  2. Fit the inner button to the central clicker
  3. Fit the button outer over the button inner - It should be push fit but may need some glue
  4. Fit the ball outers to the outer clickers.

Printing

2 Profiles are included:

Multi Color Plates - Print by Object

Single Color Plates print by layer. (1 plate has pause to change color)

Supports are on for most of the parts (not the button inner)

Incredibly fun to build and terrific results! Made 3, on for me and one for each of my kids. Make to note that the holes to receive the keyboard "clicker" are actually rectangular, not square. Make sure to orient them correctly. he wrong direction will hold, but too high and will fall out quickly.

Have you got a picture of just the keyboard switch?

No idea why this doesn't have more likes. Made one with the intention of it being a Christmas gift for a friend.. Had to keep one for myself and every member of the family wants one now too! Printed beautifully and quickly. Now I need to find a display stand.

Haha thanks! The stand in the picture is a primitive from bambu studio, I added a torus and scaled to 150% and cut the bolt 1 or 2mm (sorry can't member exactly)

I'm in USA, so I can't say for sure, but the clicker parts are just standard mechanical keyboard switches. Anywhere you can order those would have them.

Worked perfectly and is a blast. Used cheap click switches from Amazon and they were fine.

Could you post the item you bought from amazon? I've bought two different ones and haven't got them to click. I don't think I'm assembling wrong .

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DY7HXL3T I will say that I will look for a high actuation (more weight needed to press) next time, these are relatively light and they click well but could be a little strong imo.

Have made two so far (will do more - everyone wants one!) with Kailh Navy switches (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBPR99BD?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&;th=1) and they're amazing! The button switch didn't click right for the first one, but I managed to wiggle/pull the outer cover off and when I put it back together again it worked fine - something must have been just a little off.

I had to file down the joints on the white and red sections because they didn't come out very well during printing, but the final result is excellent
