Hello everyone!
Today I bring you a piece of the largest temple in Ancient Rome. Located right in front of the Colosseum, the Temple of Venus and Roma is famous for its gigantic vaulted apse.
I have recreated this piece focusing on its most impressive feature: the coffered ceiling. That geometric grid on the dome is not just decoration; it is a testament to Roman engineering that will now serve as a refuge for your pets.
Why is this piece a "Luxury Frame" for your ecosystem?
- 🖼️ The "Altar" Effect: The semicircular shape of the apse acts as a visual reflector. Anything you place in the center (a red plant, a special rock, or a figure) will be immediately framed and highlighted. It is perfect for creating a dramatic focal point.
- 🦎 Grippy Ceiling: For gecko terrariums, the deep texture of the ceiling squares (coffers) is perfect. Their toes can grip the edges of each square, allowing them to walk across the ceiling, defying gravity with complete safety.
- 🛡️ Calm Zone: In aquariums with current, the "shell" shape of this structure creates a dead water zone inside. It is the ideal place for long-finned fish (like Bettas or Guppies) to rest when they get tired from the strong current.
- 🦐 Detailed Floor: The base is not smooth; I have sculpted the remains of the collapsed cornice. These blocks on the floor offer perfect hiding places for shrimp and fry right in the visible area of the aquarium.
