3D Printed Center Finder for Boards

Description

This is a simple but very effective Center Finder Tool designed for quickly finding and marking the exact center of wooden boards.
Just screw in the center piece, put it on the edge of your board and press the edges agaisnt it and the center line aligns perfectly every time.

The design is fully modular, easy to print, and super convenient to assemble.

Print time

The whole tool (10cm wide base) took approximately an hour to print while printing two bases plus the screw at once. The included profile calculation seems too long so I've figured that I'll give you the details in there.

Improved Threads

I manually adjusted and optimized all the threads in the model so the parts screw together smoothly and reliably, even on low-tolerance printers. No forcing, no sanding - it just works.

Customizable Screws

The included screw can be easily customized.
If you want a bigger or smaller hole in the middle (for a pencil, marker, scribe, or just better grip), simply scale or modify the center hole in your slicer or CAD. I've added a 5mm hole to the design file.

A small but very useful tool to have! 

I've printed it with all default Bambulab A1 settings - no changes are necessary.
