Little Dutch adapter for Chicco Next to Me Magic

Hello everyone!

I’d like to present my carefully designed (and maybe slightly over-engineered) solution to a very real parenting problem I ran into while choosing a musical mobile for my baby’s crib. My wife absolutely fell in love with a mobile from brand Little Dutch, while we had already committed to a Chicco crib. Two worlds, two mounting systems… and one confused dad.

After several intense brainstorming sessions (mostly at 2 AM while the baby was finally asleep), I designed an adapter that uses the crib’s original mounting point and is attached with the original screws.

Yes — the only tool required is a screwdriver, so no one has to pretend to be a professional installer in the middle of the night.

The construction ensures a stable, secure fit while allowing the mobile to be quickly detached or re-attached whenever needed. No stress, no improvising, no battles with gravity.

The adapter has been tested in parent-mode™ and works flawlessly.
