Hello everyone,

After my stop for folding rules presented here: https://makerworld.com/de/models/1795096-stop-marking-gauge-for-folding-rule#profileId-2079901

was quite positively received, I wanted to create something similar for steel rulers

The new stop should:

  • Be universal, for steel rulers from 10mm to 20mm wide
  • Manage without screws or glue
  • Clamp the ruler without it being able to shift
  • And manage without supports when printing the stop body

It was quite elaborate, but I am very satisfied with the result

The model comes on a total of 4 print plates

  1. The stop body
  2. The clamping eccentric and axle bolt
  3. Various inlay pieces for the different widths of steel rulers
  4. Attachable additional stop for better handling with round workpiece edges

Assembly:

Insert the clamping lever with the mark facing upwards,

laterally into the recess

Align the holes on the clamping lever accordingly

Insert the axle bolt

In the end position, the bolt clicks into place

Print an inlay for your steel ruler

The printed number corresponds to the width of your steel ruler

Slide the inlay with the number facing up laterally into the stop body

Once the inlay is pushed all the way to the front,
press it down

The inlay is now securely seated in the stop housing

Of course, you don't need to print all inlays

Measure how wide your ruler is and select the required inlay

with the left mouse button A menu opens with the right mouse button

Leave the inlay you need as printable

For all others, uncheck printable

Only the inlays require supports, but they almost fall off by themselves, :-)

I hope you enjoy this model

Regards Zwackel

A personal request:

The design of this stop was quite complex
It took a lot of time and filament until I had the part ready to be printed universally, without additional parts and without
supports

If you are satisfied with the model, I would be especially happy about a boost
So if you have a boost left, I would gladly accept it 😉

I'm just starting to publish my designs.

Therefore, I would be very happy about a Like or even a Boost.
