Description

Deep Can Food Dispenser Rack - 22 Inch with higher can stop.

This is a remix of the @BizarroStormy deep cabinet canned food dispenser. I’ve added an extra front piece with a higher can stop to help keep the cans in place. All credit and thanks go to the original creator and model: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1287129-can-dispenser-22-inch#profileId-1375151

I’ve printed this model multiple times with great results. Plates 2 and 3 print perfectly for me using both the original model settings and a 0.28 mm layer height with 10% gyroid infill, and they are plenty strong. On my machine, Plate 1 did need a 0.12 mm layer height to avoid using supports. Overall, the original design by @BizarroStormy is very strong, fit together perfectly and has held up extremely well with both settings.

Update 5.22.26 - Added new alternate front plate with a gap in the higher can stop. Thanks for the suggestions!

You know, a good modification would be a little bit of a well cut in the front "wall/stop" for your thumb to get a decent grip on a can. I would need to draw it out probably... haha

That is a good idea and I do know what you mean. This is a very busy time of year for me, I'll get that pushed up when I can. Great idea, thanks for sharing!

Is it possible to print just the front and back and connect them? And how wide does the can need to be to fit in there?

It looks like it should, but I haven't tried it. When I get a chance I'll see if just the front and back go together. As far as can size I'd have to point you to google search for can sizes. Here is what the author of the original model had to say. "...This can dispenser can handle larger 18.5 oz cans as well as normal sized cans"

No. I just got done printing just the front and back but they don't align because of the ramps. They'll connect, yes, but the front and rear ramps are offset. I need a 16" deep model. Or I could play with it and see if I can print the middle with the back wall design of the rear section.

Hello and thank you for sharing The idea is great 😎 By any chance, do you think you can do the same thing with the "small boxes" model from the cited creator? https://makerworld.com/models/1287165?appSharePlatform=copy Thanks in advance 🙏

@Mattanna - Working towards adding it. Busy time of year here (always seems busy LOL) might take me a while to get to it. My wife uses a lot of the smaller cans as well. She's been asking me for it so it may get bumped up to the top of my "Honey Do" list :-) Thanks for the suggestion, when I get it posted up I'll drop you a message.

Appreciate the comment! Sorry but I'm not sure. This is a remix of the original model (link above). He/she did the hard work, I just added a higher lip in the slicer. Maybe the original creator can be assistance.

I like the design but I made a mistake when I printed it thinking that if I printed the front and rear w/o the middle that it would work. I didn't have my thinking hat on knowing damn well the ramp angles would differ without the middle section so I'm using it w/o the middle section anyway. It works, there's just a "step" in the middle, which I don't mind. I would give it 5 stars but this thing uses a lot of filament! Pretty much emptied an entire spool of PETG.
