Although I’ve had less time lately with all the ongoing projects, I had to keep the free kit card series going - and this one finally fills a big gap in the 5th gen lineup.
Meet the Chengdu J-20 “Mighty Dragon”, my first Chinese aircraft in the collection!
This model has been on my list for quite some time - the sleek stealth lines and those forward canards make it a really unique design among modern jets.
Fun facts:
• The J-20 is China’s first operational 5th generation stealth fighter, entering service in 2017.
• It’s one of the largest stealth jets ever built, measuring over 20 meters in length.
• Its cockpit layout and HUD share similarities with the F-22 Raptor.
• The forward canard wings are rare among stealth aircraft but enhance agility and lift.
• Its name, “Mighty Dragon,” comes from Chinese mythology.
• The special gray camouflage pattern helps reduce both radar and visual detection.
