This is a durable, semi-permanent light mount designed specifically for the DJI Avata 2.
The mount is secured using M4 × 16 mm screws, ensuring it stays firmly attached without risk of falling off or breaking during flight. Its low-profile design maintains the drone’s original footprint and fits snugly with no movement.
The mount was originally designed for Firehouse Technology ARC V lights, but it will work with any LED light that fits within the available space.
Materials Needed
- 2× M4 × 16 mm screws
- Adhesive hook-and-loop (Velcro)
- Superglue (optional) — for reinforcing the Velcro bond
- 3D-printed top and bottom mount pieces
Print Recommendations
- Material: PETG or stronger (recommended)
- PLA: Acceptable but less durable
Assembly Instructions
- Insert the top and bottom mount pieces into the triangular opening next to the drone body.
- Press the two parts together until they align properly.
- Secure them using the M4 × 16 mm screw through the mount and into the drone frame.
- Apply heavy-duty hook-and-loop tape to both the mount and the light.
- (Optional) Add a small amount of superglue to strengthen the adhesive.
- Attach the light to the mount using the hook-and-loop.
