Description

Hey guys, I had someone reach out to me to let me know that my P1S LED Riser did not fit the P2S series (top is a little longer than the P1S). I have created an extender to now allow the riser to fit perfectly on the P2S, So if you have a P1S with my riser and want to have your P2S matching or don't like having the door open or top glass off when printing PLA or any other materials that require air flow, well, this riser will be a great addition to your printer allowing you to have them closed and not have to worry about the airflow as the vents let out the right amount every time.

The standard light bar not bright enough and want to run LED's? well, there is a channel designed just for that!

I have labelled them with L and R so you don't get mixed up on which one goes which side,

This extender only works with the P1S LED Air Vent Glass Riser Version 2! Link below.

Big thanks to @Audrey_1981 for reaching out and working with me to find a solution.

Transparent red and dark gray to match the printer. Going to be my color theme moving forward. PS - LED's are coming soon. trying to figure out the corners with some Cob LED's

yeah awesome colour combo, one of my favourites! LEDs run on the 45° angle I’ve put around the top of the riser, if need be, chuck some glue on the back of them and they will never drop off

I’m at a loss- new to printing and I’ve had this happen 3 times on this specific print using my P2S. Any insight? I’ve cleaned the bed between prints and I ran a test print prior and had it complete successfully.

can you double check the meterial you are using and make sure it is not the support filament, did the tool head go to the back because it detected the poop or are you using or have you got Timelapse turned on? if you do, that could be your issue, it may not wiping the nozzle properly when going back to the print after taking a photo? other than those 2 things, I have no idea

I’m unsure of what you mean by support filament, but I’m using PLA. I don’t believe timelapse was going, but I’m assuming so as I do have a usb drive in so I’ll test it without timelapse. thank you!

safe to say timelapse was likely the culprit- thank you again! I can’t wait to print the riser!

do I print only two of these extenders and two of the other connectors for this to work with p2s?

yes correct, there is 2 extenders on the plate already, and then for the ones with the riser, you want to print the short 1 and 1 of the taller ones, or can just print them all and get rid of the other 2 once done, they don’t use much filament anyways

Do you typically glue these together? And, why the depression in the front? First rate design by the way. I've found that an Outside Brim setting of 10 will keep them from falling over and serving an extra helping of spaghetti. Ask me how I know.

Compeltely off topic but dang.... Seeing 2 P1S's, a X1C, and a P2S. Im mad jealous, I just got a P1S not long ago and that was maxing out what I was able to spend on a printer. Just ordered a AMS late Novemeber and just got it Friday which broke my mind how much it was also.

Oh I'm jealous too haha, these aren't mine, I had someone print and send me photos of the riser extender because I don't have a p2s haha. Nah don't worry if that's all you could get atm, I started off with a p1p, then about 6 months later got a p1s by itself with the money I made from selling prints, sold the p1p and brought a p1s combo 3 months after and also brought a ams a few months after that, I ended up selling both printers because we left the house we were in to travel, now that we're in a house I've now got a p1s combo with the coins I have gotten from my models on here which is bloody awesome! TIP - create a few models and hope 1 or all become popular, use the coins you get from them to supply your filament needs, (that's what I do), start selling prints and put all that money away and just start saving for your next printer. :)

don't forget there are many where they do it commercially and you won't get far with one printer

I love this riser on my P2S! Any chance you have found a TPU spool holder that fits on the top?

what version riser are you printing? if you print version 2, you won’t have that issue, also, if you are printing it for a p2s, you will need the version 2 for these extenders to work, they don’t work on version 1

will this not work with just a P1S printer?

grab the p1s v2 that’s on my profile, this is only an extender to make the riser fit on a p2s, p2s is different in length by a few mm

anyway you can make a file just for the p2s for those who have never printed the previous p1s riser and want to avoid the extender? :)

yeah I will look into it, but I will need someone to do some test prints and also get photos aswell for me as I don’t have a p2s, if your up for helping out, shoot me a message and we’ll go from there. thanks
