Reinforced Back Clip Replacement | Black Diamond Spot 350

If you own a Black Diamond Spot 350, you likely know the fatal flaw of the back clip of this headlight.

The original factory bracket is made from a brittle plastic that is prone to failure. Once that clip breaks, the headlamp becomes difficult to wear, often rendering a perfectly functional electronic device useless.

I designed this replacement part to be the rugged alternative the Spot 350 deserves. 

Print Settings

For the best durability, do not use standard PLA.

• Material: PETG, PAsupport or ABS is highly recommended for flexibility and impact resistance. (Nylon is best if you can print it)
• Nozzle: 0.4mm
• Layer Height: 0.20mm for strength.
• Walls/Perimeters: 4,
• Infill: 15%
• Supports: Minimal supports needed

Installation

1. Carefully remove any remaining debris from the broken original clip on the headlamp body.
2. Thread your headlamp strap through the new printed clip.
3. Snap the clip onto the headlamp pivots.
