Description

This is a grab and go, graphic side vertical wall mount for assembled boards.

It enables you to mount and unmount boards off the wall quickly and easily, giving you the ability to display your board graphic vertically when not in use without having to semi-permanently mount it to the wall.

Installation instructions: (For best results ensure you're mounting to a stud in the wall, countersink as necessary)

-Mount the Lower Mount first

-Place your board on the Lower Mount with the Upper Mount resting on the top of your board

-The Upper Mount should rest flat against the wall with light-moderate tension on the board

-Mark Upper Mount installation location and remove board

-Align Mounts against a parallel surface and mount Upper Mount

The board should fit snugly with a little room to move in the upper mount under light pressure. It doesn't have to be crazy snug to stay in place.

I have only printed in PETG so far and it's doing great. Most filament should work just fine, but YMMV.

the top mount should be angled a little. overall great idea. and the holes could have a little counter sink so the screw head doesn’t hit the board.

I agree, but I was struggling with the mesh boolean when I tried to make a countersink. I tried to warn people to do it once printed as a workaround. and I really like your idea about angling the top mount. Thanks for taking the time to review my print and I appreciate the feedback. The print should be able to be remixed, and if it’s not I’d be happy to change it’s privileges.

You inspired me to try my hand and I came up with a curved mount to allow for different angles. It’s a little thicker/deeper to allow for the curve, but the counter sink on the hole also makes a small difference too. the image generated by the app doesn’t do it proper service, I’ll snap a few to give a better idea.

here are a few shots. I used the same shape for the nose and tail and it seems to work ok. It does depend on the board shape and thickness though
