Description

Grow fresh, healthy microgreens year-round right on your kitchen countertop with this stylish and functional 3-part planter system.

Designed for simplicity and cleanliness, this stackable kit makes growing sprouts easy, even for beginners. The design ensures proper drainage and humidity for optimal growth.

The 3-Part System Includes:

  1. Base Drip Tray (Watertight): Sits at the bottom to catch excess water, protecting your furniture and allowing for bottom-watering.
  2. Perforated Grow Tray: Nests perfectly on top of the base. Fill it with a small amount of soil or growing medium. The perforated bottom allows excess moisture to drain away, preventing mold and root rot.
  3. Humidity Lid: Used during the initial germination phase (the blackout period) to keep moisture in and encourage seeds to sprout. It features a simple handle and aesthetic ridges.

Aesthetic Tip (As seen in photos): For a beautiful, natural look that fits modern interiors, try printing the Base and Lid in standard white or matte PLA, and the middle Grow Tray in Wood-fill PLA.

Usage Instructions:

  • Stack the Grow Tray onto the Base Tray.
  • Add soil/medium, moisten, and sprinkle seeds densely.
  • Cover with the Lid and place in a warm spot for 2-4 days until sprouted.
  • Remove the lid and place in a sunny spot until ready to harvest!

Print Profile Recommendations

This model is designed to be easy to print with no supports required.

  • Material: PLA is suitable. For better long-term water resistance, PETG can be used for the Base Tray. (Note: If using Wood PLA for the middle section, ensure your nozzle is appropriate, usually 0.6mm recommended, though some brands work with 0.4mm).
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm standard.
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm (Quality) or 0.24mm (Draft) work well.
  • Walls/Perimeters: Important: Use at least 3-4 walls (perimeter shells) to ensure the Base Tray is watertight.
  • Infill: 15-20% Gyroid (Gyroid is good for avoiding internal pockets where water could sit).
  • Supports: None required. All overhangs are designed to print cleanly without support.
  • Brim: Generally not needed unless you have adhesion issues with large flat parts.
