Round Corner Connectors for Retro Record Shelf
Print Profile(2)

Description

Hey, for 15 years I had an Ikea Kallax/Expedit shelf for my records, and for 10 of those years, I didn't like it anymore 😅 Unfortunately, I couldn't find an affordable shelf online that matched my ideas. Two weeks ago, I started experimenting with corner connectors for multiplex panels, and two variants emerged that are quite easy to assemble and really relatively stable.
For the side length of the multiplex panels, I chose a depth of 350mm and a material thickness of 18mm. At Hornbach, a simple cube, including cutting, costs about 20€ in materials. All you need in addition is a handful of 35x4 Spax screws and, alternatively for the shelves, 16x4 screws. To ensure everything fits perfectly, I also designed drilling templates for pre-drilling (to prevent the wood from splitting) and templates for placing the dovetail connectors.
