Woven Christmas Balls – No AMS Needed

Description:
Original 3D models designed and created by Officina Gladiatoria.
These ornaments recreate the warm, handcrafted style of woven wool Christmas balls, made from curved strips that visually interlace while staying fast, clean, and incredibly easy to print — no AMS needed.
The design gives each sphere a cozy, textile-inspired look, perfect for Christmas trees, garlands, gifts, and festive displays.

Each strip features triangular alignment pins.
These pins are intentionally thin: they are not meant to lock the pieces, but simply to show the correct orientation during assembly.
After aligning the strips, secure them with white PVA glue (vinavil) for a clean and durable bond.

The top hook includes a reinforced internal modifier, ensuring excellent strength when hanging the ornament.

You can create infinite palettes using 1, 2, or 3 colors.

Concept:

The idea behind this ornament is to translate the softness of traditional knitted decorations into a clean, support-free 3D-printable structure.
The curved woven strips emulate the look of wool while remaining elegant, minimal, and extremely easy to assemble.
The modular system enables endless color combinations: rustic, modern, pastel, bold, or fully customized.
