Description

Designed this Ikea Skadis mount for my 4x6 thermal label printer so that it would stop taking up space on my (cluttered) workbench.

No supports necessary except for the pegs. All parts are optimized for minimum filament use without compromising strength. The whole combined unit uses only ~200g of filament!

Prints in 5 pieces total:

  • 2 halves for the thermal printer itself
  • 2 halves to hold the baseplate for the 4x6" labels
  • baseplate for 4x6" thermal labels

Prints great and works good! The only thing I would add, is a cross member for the bottom shelf that holds the labels. The hooks that attach to my skadis are loose, and the two brackets can move side to side. I could glue it to the base, but ya know.

Replying to @PrincessMaz :
My printer is 8 by 3-1/4 inches. And there is still a 1-1/2 inch gap between the back of the printer and the skadis, but you need that space for the power cord.

I had a problem with labels peeling off and getting stuck in the printer after the first label prints

Could you please elaborate more on what your experiencing in hopes that I could maybe adjust the design? I haven’t experienced anything like that in over 400 printed labels so far, so I’m not sure what adjustments I need to make.

Hello, how are you? My printer is 11.8cm, would it be possible to create a larger version of your stand? It fits exactly in the space but a few centimeters are missing for the USB cable at the back
