Upgrade and replace those old roller bag wheels!!!

This is a robust, clean, and repairable design that improves in every way form the alternative cheap replacements.

After buying and wearing out about 3 different replacement brands of wheels I decided to make my own.

Print Settings

I used ABS-GF in the default print profile. I know this is not possible for all printers so I have made PETG-HF and ASA Profiles. The model currently doesn't fit on the A1 Mini. But if a few people ask i can fire up fusion and build it for you.😉

The wheels can be found on Ali Express, they are aluminium wheels make for Brompton bikes, and they have internal bearings and roll with much better control. (LINK)

I've used 6mm axles secured with C-clips: 2x M6 35mm (LINK)

I printed axle spacers (in the print profiles) and added some teflon washers, but this is very optional.

I have also added a substantial lightweight aluminium hollow section across the back to prevent deflection with heavy loads:

This is fixed in place with M5, 60mm bolts, with captive lock nuts:

The Wheel housings are fixed to the bag with a series of M3 bolts, however the length and method of fixing will be bag dependant.
