Description

This small tool will help remove stubborn or tight air caps easily, and without marring the cap surface.

Summary

This is a very simple print. It will require a support for the single wing.

It is compatible with a 21mm socket or wrench if you need a little extra leverage, but no cap should be that tight.

Print

Print it in any material you like. 100% infill if you want it to last (it was designed for a bike shop). 4-5 wall loops with 15% infill will probably be fine for annual service work.

The two you see in the cover image were printed at .12mm but the tool is probably fine printed at much lower resolution.

It prints easily if you use the flat hex end as the base.

Usage

The fit is TIGHT on purpose. The tool can be used to also hold the cap/cover safely while you service the fork, and then used to re-attach the cap. After using the tool to thread the cap back on, I do not recommend that you tighten the cap using the tool - instead please hand tighten as recommended by Fox.
