Description

I liked the center caps that came with the Method MR 316 17" Wheels, but I thought that the TRD would look nicer. Working to replicate the same base design as the original center caps, I added the same clips and same beveled edge and added the TRD, and printed in Red and Black PETG. You can use the spring ring that came with the center cap, but the PETG clips were strong enough for me.

I worked hard on this model and tried to get it to perfection. The model file attached should come preset with all of the right settings to click print, unless you have a different printer model than mine. Hope you enjoy!

This is so cool! Can you share the CAP SLT without the TRD lettering? That would be supper helpful!

Well :) I dont know how easy or difficult it would be. Attaching image. there are topo lines in the background. If possible to incorporate the topo lines in the background and raised lettering for adventure calendars with the mountain. If not - i'll take a blank and try it myself! :) Thanks!

I dont have a multi color set up but I was able to stop at 90% and load the 2nd color for this style finish. Fits my Raceline wheels.

I printed in 2 different colors metallic gray and flat black. On the bambu select support as normal/ auto. The tree supports are not good on this print. use the cube/blocky support and a good quality filament.

@potatoeatr24 I have made a remix of your blank cap file in which it fits into a different model of Method wheels and I put the method logo on it. Based on the licensing you put on this model, I cannot share it with others here on the app. With your permission, could I upload the file and give you credit for the original design?

Upload as a print profile or a seperate model?

whatever you would prefer because it’s your model and needs your permission. But since it is a different size not intended for the Method MR 316 wheels, I don’t think it would fit as a print profile for this model unless you changed the overall model name and we made the print profiles target the wheel types

A print profile would work for me. Just put the wheel model name as the name for the print profile. I appreciate your help and the boost.

Yes! it's the second file under the original file. the image of the file shows a blank tire cap.
