Description

Drip Caps for uPVC Windows – a small upgrade with a big impact 💧🔧

If you want to stop rainwater from running down your uPVC frames and protect your windows from dirt and unnecessary wear, these practical 3D-printed drip caps are exactly what you need. Print them at home, slide them into the frame, and you’re done. Fast, simple, and effective.

Why I designed them 🛠️

Older uPVC windows often have drainage slots that let water escape, but the water then flows down the frame. Over time, this causes staining, grime buildup, and gradual surface damage. This drip cap catches the water and directs it outward – exactly where it should go.

Key benefits

  • Protects your window frames – redirects rainwater away from the surface so frames stay clean and last longer. 🌧️
  • Installs in seconds – designed to slide directly into a standard 5 mm drainage slot. No screws, no glue, no modifications.
  • Made for outdoor use – best printed in PETG or ABS, which handle sun, heat, and freezing temperatures. PLA is not recommended, as it can warp or degrade. ☀️❄️
  • Optimized for 3D printing – ideal for printing on a smooth plate for a clean finish and minimal post-processing.
  • Universal fit – suitable for most uPVC windows with a 5 mm drainage opening
