This chairlift was conceived and designed as a scenic element for a miniature Christmas village, ensuring fluid movement and long-term reliability. In the demonstration video (viewable BY CLICKING HERE) it is possible to observe the linear operation of the chairlift: the system runs constantly without stops or hitches, even if the village visible in the video is still under construction and arrangement. The orange parts inside the drive wheel correspond to the modification components that will be described in the dedicated section
Technical Specifications
The chairlift uses a common string as its movement cable; it is essential that this is correctly tensioned to ensure proper friction and consistent movement
To maximize grip between the drive wheel and the string, a special 3D printable mod is provided: it is recommended to divide the pieces with pliers and insert them alternately into the inner profile of the wheel. The small imperfections created by the division help improve adhesion, preventing slippage. Printing this component is optional and should only be considered if friction loss is observed
- Seats:
The seats are designed to fit perfectly onto the string. It is recommended to secure each seat with a small additional knot behind the hook, using a short piece of string, to ensure the desired position along the cableway. Additionally, each seat is equipped with an openable and reclosable chest bar for a realistic touch
- Assembly:
The cableway system can be installed with a maximum distance of 1.4 m between the two ends. If it is necessary to create a longer section and you encounter difficulties in correctly tensioning the string, you can contact me and I will provide tensioning pylons
- Motorization:
The system uses a TT Motor (DC5V 59RPM CCW Single Axis)
- Materials and Fasteners:
Required:
• 4 M3x6mm screws
• 2 M3x15mm screws (M3x19 also acceptable)
• Glue (only for gluing the drive wheel, everything else is interlocking or fixed with screws)
• The bases are already equipped with holes for anchoring with screws on the chosen mounting surface
- Guides and Additional Details
A complete assembly guide is included in the attachment, accompanying the entire process step-by-step
The internal parts of the plates, highlighted in red, can be printed with the desired material/color as they are not visible once the model is assembled
