Rainbow Silk Reindeer – 150% Display Model

Designed & print-tested by Printworks3DStudios (P3DS)

 

Printed in Multicolour Silk PLA

This elegant reindeer was printed using multicolour silk PLA, giving it a natural colour-shifting gradient from blue to green to gold.
No AMS colours were used — the smooth transitions and shine come entirely from the filament.

Perfect as a Christmas decoration, shelf display piece, or a unique gift.
At 150% scale, it stands tall, detailed, and eye-catching.

🖨 Print Settings Used

Printer: Bambu Lab P1S
Scale: 150%
Layer Height: 0.16 mm
Outer Wall Speed: 50mm/s (slower for a glossy silk finish)
Infill: 10% Gyroid
Supports:

  • Tree supports added
  • Additional painted supports for leg stability
    Brim:
  • 5mm brim width
  • 0mm object gap (for maximum stability)

These settings are recommended for silk or colour-shift filaments to maintain shine and reduce layer lines.

🎨 Filament Information

Printed entirely using:
Multicolour / Colour-Shift Silk PLA

The gradient effect will vary depending on the brand and spool transition pattern, making each print unique.

📏 Scaling

  • 150% shown in photos (stable and prints beautifully)
  • 120% also works well if you leave the supports as they are (take of the painted ones and it will fail)
  • 180–200% possible with stronger supports and a wider brim
