Description
This bracket cleans up the wire bundle on a Micro Swiss NG direct drive while giving you a solid, repeatable mounting point for an ADXL345 accelerometer. It’s designed to sit in the same general location as the original cable harness support and keep wiring tidy while you run input shaping tests or general motion tuning.
Versions included
- Heat Inserts Version
- Uses threaded heat-set inserts to hold the ADXL345 board
- Great if you want a more “install once and forget it” setup
- No Inserts / M3 Screws Version
- Uses only M3 screws to secure the ADXL345
- Ideal if you don’t have inserts or just prefer simple hardware
Compatible hardware
- Designed around a common ADXL345 breakout (the HiLetgo GY-291 style board or similar footprint)
- M3 screws for mounting the accelerometer
- Same general bracket location as the original Micro Swiss NG cable support remix this was based on
Printing notes
- Print in PETG or ABS/ASA for heat resistance near the hotend area
- 3–4 perimeters and at least 20% infill recommended
- No supports should be needed on a well-tuned printer
- Orient flat on the bed with the bracket base down for maximum strength
Usage
- Remove or loosen the existing cable support for your Micro Swiss NG.
- Install this bracket using the original mounting point.
- Attach the ADXL345 with either heat inserts or plain M3 screws (depending on the version you printed).
- Route your wiring cleanly through or along the bracket, then run your input shaping or vibration tests.
Versioning
- v1.00 Initial Remix
- v1.02 Added Model with Heat Inserts
