Scalpen Tool - 30 min Print Scalpel Blade Holder

Here’s a handy little scalpen tool I’ve designed for holding those small craft/scalpel blades that we all use for cleaning up prints, trimming supports, and general hobby crafting.

The main body is designed to print horizontally for a super quick, clean print. It comes with a collet and a screw-on cap that tightens everything up to hold the blade securely. Everything threads together nicely and works a charm straight off the printer.

One of the issues I have with the cheap metal handles that come with blades is they roll straight off the desk… so this one is specially designed with flat faces to stop it from rolling. Stays put, where you leave it.

To add a bit of fun, I’ve also put the collet on a separate plate, so you can print it in a contrast colour — great for spotting the blade slot easily.

• Assembly: Just pop the collet in, screw on the cap a bit, slide your blade in the slot, tighten the cap down — done.
• Safety: As always, handle scalpel blades carefully.
