TerpTrainer – LST Clips (Low Stress Training)
Print Profile(1)

Description
These TerpTrainer (LST clips) are made for Low Stress Training (LST) — a gentle technique where branches are guided sideways/horizontally to build a wider, more even canopy. This helps improve light distribution, boost airflow, and control plant structure with minimal stress.
I designed three training levels. They describe how strongly the stem/branch is bent — not the physical clip size:
LvL 1 – light bend / gentle angle
LvL 2 – medium bend
LvL 3 – strong bend (shown in the photos)
✅ Important:
Start LST early while branches are still soft and flexible. If you wait too long, stems become woody/rigid and are much harder to bend without stressing the plant.
✅ Fully scalable:
You can scale the clips to any size you need — the LvLs remain the bending strength.
📦 Files included:
STLs for LvL 1–3
plus a .3mf file containing all levels with my recommended print settings.
🧵 Printing recommendation:
I recommend PETG because it is more durable and not as stiff as PLA, making it ideal for training clips. I personally like “Das Filament” PETG since it’s a bit more flexible than most other PETG brands.
