Description

My SONY NEX 5N camera may be old but gold, so I decided to create this small upgrade to improve my daily use.

This sunhood is a fully custom design I created from scratch using Shapr3D.

I optimized the model to be as thin, lightweight, and material-efficient as possible while still fitting securely and functioning properly for everyday use on the Sony NEX-5N mirrorless camera.

The fit is tight, clean, and practical for real shooting conditions—helping reduce glare and improving screen visibility without adding unnecessary bulk.

Since the design may not be perfect yet, I’m also including the STEP file for anyone who wants to modify, improve, or remix the model.

Printed this for my SONY NEX-5R. Happy to say it works perfectly on this camera model too - without having to edit anything. Printing was straightforward and took around 45 minutes. (with ironing)

Printing was easy and succesful. I put it on my Nex-5T, which is not quite suitable (back sides aren't the same), but it does the work! Thank you so much!
