IRIS LAMP: Foldable Desk Lamp with Adjustable Iris!

 

A practical and clever 3D printed desk lamp.

 

Its foldable design makes it easy to store, and the mechanical iris system lets you control brightness by simply turning a knob. Open the iris for full light, or close it for a softer atmosphere.

 

The lamp is designed for the LED Lamp Kit-001 (MH001), perfectly integrated into the structure.

 

It includes 15 STL parts that print and assemble easily. The build is straightforward and satisfying, combining technical precision with a clean look.

 

A pleasant project to print, assemble, and use every day — IrisDesk blends function, design, and mechanical creativity in one compact object.

 

The file contains 12 different STL files, some of which need to be printed multiple times:
- part 9 X3
- part 11 X2
- part 12 X6

 

The parts that can be printed without supports are:
- 6, 8, 9, 10, 11.


The others require supports.

 

The model was printed in PLA, but the material is up to you.

The parts that require greater strength (4 walls) are parts 10 and 11.

The blades of the Iris system were printed with 5 walls and 60% infill to retain as much light as possible.

 

The lamp must be assembled in the correct order. You can find the assembly instructions in a video
