Description

What is this

This is an internal chassis for Savi’s and Galaxy’s Edge lightsabers that replaces the stock internals with a custom electronics friendly core. It fits inside the hilt as a frame and board mount so you can add sound and light electronics while keeping the outside of the saber looking original.

 

Repost details

This is a repost of Emk’s original model from Printables so MakerWorld and Bambu users can find and print it more easily. I am not the designer. I have explicit permission from the original creator to repost this model on MakerWorld and to link back to the original listing.

 

Included print profile

I have included a pre sliced print profile for this chassis to make getting started easier. The profile is tuned for the Bambu Lab P1S and Bambu PLA Basic filament.

 

Original design details

This chassis was created to retrofit a Savi’s lightsaber when the original maker could not find a design that met their needs. It is designed for a snug fit with the right diameter and minimal play and supports a Proffie v2.2, a speaker, a 18650 battery in a holder, and a rotary connector. Both the main chassis and the pin side rotary PCB adapter are included.

Installation summary from the original description

  • Remove the original internal bottom chassis
  • The PCB adapter fits into the bottom of the middle chassis that holds the Kyber crystal
  • Reassemble the original gray bottom shell to the middle gray chassis
  • Drill pilot holes into the PCB adapter and reuse the original screws that attached the bottom shell to the middle chassis
