Description

+++ Small update: The user Patrik (https://makerworld.com/de/@devildog/upload) had the great idea of adding a spout, so I’ve added one spout with a length of 50 mm and another with 100 mm. +++

 

For this remix I added a custom opening to easily remove the silica beads and designed a compatible screw to close it securely. 

 

I expanded the updated version with a new internal divider system to improve airflow and speed up drying of the silica gel beads. The divider is designed as a separate removable ring: After drying, you can simply pull it out and continue using the screw-on opening as before to empty the beads.

 

With my small silica gel beads (1–2 mm), about 660 grams fit inside. However, I wouldn’t fill it completely and would rotate it occasionally so the beads can redistribute and dry faster!

 

To keep the model efficient and print-friendly, both screw versions were slightly shortened. They remain fully functional but print noticeably faster.

I also added a small funnel that makes it much easier to fill the individual chambers of the divider without spilling beads everywhere.

Everything else remains fully compatible with the previous version.
The new divider ring, the shortened screws and the funnel all fit the original spool insert without any changes.

So if you already printed the first version, you don’t need to reprint the main body!

The optional compact, headless screw variant is still included for setups with limited vertical space.
