X-Axis Protection Chain - BambuLab A1 Mini

Description
This chain is designed for the BambuLab A1 Mini to guide and protect the X-axis wire during printer movement, preventing bending or chafing.
In addition to protecting the wire, the chain adds a clean and modern aesthetic touch, keeping the setup tidy.
The links are modular and assemble via interlocking joints, without screws.
Extruder Side Support (Upper End of the Chain)
The upper support mounts on the top of the A1 Mini's extruder.
A slight sanding of the inner seat can be useful to achieve a precise fit, compensating for print tolerances.
This support exclusively manages the X-axis wire, which is inserted inside the chain.
Filament Cutter Housing Side Support (Opposite End of the Chain)
The other end of the chain attaches to the Filament Cutter Housing, which is the casing where the printer automatically cuts the filament (and where additional cameras are often mounted).
This support:
- manages the other end of the X-axis wire,
- keeps the chain anchored to the cutting area,
- attaches via interlocking, without screws.
➡️ The chain exclusively guides the X-axis wire, NOT the filament tube.
Filament Tube Management (Bowden Tube)
The filament tube does not pass through the chain, but is stabilized by 3 optional attachments, each with a different angle.
The attachments:
- insert onto the chain links via interlocking,
- are chosen by the user based on the filament spool placement,
- keep the tube stable and aligned with the chain's movement,
- prevent the tube from snagging or getting caught.
In this way:
✔ the X-axis wire is protected internally within the chain
✔ the filament tube follows the chain from the outside, stabilized by the attachments
