Description
I made an Atlas Bookend comes with corner hold: 2 sizes: small and large which includes left side hold and right side hold.
In Greek mythology, Atlas was a Titan who was punished by Zeus to hold up the heavens for eternity after fighting against the Olympians in the Titanomachy. He is famously associated with carrying the sky or celestial sphere, and he also played a role in a myth involving the hero Heracles (Hercules), where he briefly gave the hero his burden to obtain the golden apples of the Hesperides. Another myth recounts his transformation into a mountain range after a hero, Perseus, turned him to stone with the head of the Gorgon Medusa.
Punishment for the Titanomachy
After the Olympians defeated the Titans, Zeus sentenced many of the Titans to eternal punishment.
Atlas's specific punishment was to hold up the celestial sphere, or heavens, from the western edge of the earth.
