  • USB C cable x 1:

Description

This is my entry for the CyberBrick Remote Control contest.

  • Designed for use on a desk or workbench, and USB power to save using batteries.
  • The remote control makes use of all 10 connections on the transmitter board, providing flexibility for future projects.
  • Options have been included for different joysticks and larger caps for the buttons.

The stable base, larger controls and bright colours make it easier to use for people with reduced mobility or vision. The remote control does not need to be held in both hands, which can be an issue, and the range of functions can be easily swapped around to suit each situation:

  • Left or right-handed.
  • Limited functioning and dexterity.
  • Deteriorating eyesight.

The PurpleShark remote will work brilliantly with all sorts of models, from simple vehicles requiring just acceleration and braking, through to complex multi-channel creations. The animatron eyes and mouth shown in the video can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1861301-mouth-for-eyes-mechanism#profileId-1990795

The print profile has all the options included; simply delete any items not required. When printing the yellow and white parts, I found staining from previous dark colours. I have added cylinders on the print profiles to ensure there is no residual colours – deleted these if not required.

See the attached PDF document with the build instructions (now v1.1 with corrected wiring for dual-axis joysticks).
