Ikea Skadis Wall Mount System – Mounting Kit

This model provides a safe, fast, and frustration-free (almost ;] )way to mount Ikea Skadis pegboards directly to the wall. I was never a fan of the original Ikea mounting solution, so I designed my own simple and reliable system.

The set includes:

• A drilling template perfectly matched to the Skadis hole spacing
• 4 variants of mounting supports (“clouds”) in heights: 7 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, and 15 mm

How to Prepare and Mount the Skadis Panel

1. Preparing the Holes Use the drilling template together with a 4–4.5 mm drill bit. Place the template anywhere on the pegboard, align it with the holes, choose as many mounting points as you need, and drill through.
2. Attaching the Supports Prepare CA glue and screws that will act as alignment guides. Apply a small amount of CA glue on all four corners of each support. Insert a screw through the support and the drilled hole to ensure perfect alignment, then press the support against the panel.
3. Mounting to the Wall After the CA glue has fully cured, remove the screws. Now you can drill holes in the wall and mount the panel securely using the supports as spacers.
