Boost Me (for free)
If you end up liking this design, a boost really does help me keep making more tools. I design these because I actually use them myself, and the support goes a long way toward justifying the time it takes to prototype and refine everything. Appreciate it!
I’ve tested quite a few printable ski and snowboard vices over the years, and nothing was ever the right size, sturdy enough, or remotely easy to print - so I made my own.
This design is built to be strong, simple, and compatible with almost any setup.
Key Features
- Ultra-stable design - Genuinely sturdier than my Burton vices. Zero wobble when scraping or tuning.
- Clamp-based mounting - Works with DeWalt quick clamps or any clamp of similar size. No hardware required.
- Universal ski & snowboard support
- Lay skis or snowboards flat, upside-down, without bindings getting in the way.
- Slide the board sideways through the center slit for effortless edge tuning.
- Strong and print-friendly geometry - Designed specifically for easy 3D printing with minimal supports.
- ABS recommended - Print in ABS for maximum rigidity and temperature resistance.
- Rubber-mat top optional - I added rubber matting for extra grip, but it works perfectly well bare for a simple, lightweight setup.
- Built to withstand real scraping pressure - No flexing, no bouncing, no sketchy wobble.
Print two of these, clamp them to any workbench or folding table, and you’re dialed!
