Description
This is a parametric model for the creation of lawn, pop up, sprinkler guards/donuts. This model can be customized to fit almost any sprinkler that you can find on the shelves. The models pictured have been printed in Bambu's Green PETG HF filament.
I'll start with two print profiles for the Rainbird 5000 and Rainbird 1800 sprinklers. If you see others that you need or see a need for adjustments, let me know!
Items of note:
- This model allows you to adjust for diameter, flange thickness, and depth of the guard. Default flange thickness is 22mm with a depth of 65mm.
- The parametric model will automatically build in a clearance of 1mm between the guard and sprinkler itself. For example, the Rainbird 5000 measures 65.5mm. The model will automatically build the inside diameter to 66.5mm.
- Playing with the flange thickness, I've found that is stable down to around 16mm, then the model can no longer resolve.
