The Ming Tombs are a complex of mausoleums for Ming Dynasty emperors, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are many treasures of ancient Chinese architecture, and we particularly highlight the stone statues to create a series for everyone to appreciate
016 Stone General Statue
The stone general statues, four in total, are each 3.2 meters high and 1.2 meters wide, depicting imperial bodyguards of the Ming Dynasty. Their appearance features phoenix-wing helmets, armor, and battle robes. The first two general statues have angry eyes and curly beards, their left hands on sword hilts and right hands holding short-handled maces, presenting a mighty image. The latter two have handsome faces, with swords at their left hips, and hands crossed in front of their chests in a salute posture.(Stone General,There are four stone generals in images of imperlal bodyguards of MingDynasty, each of whioh is 3.2m high and 1.2m wide.
