Description
Hey everyone,
I designed a pair of prop guards for the DarwinFPV Babyape II 3.5 inch Freestyle Quad. They are simple to instal and use standard mounting holes and can funktion without extra hardware as well. In case you want the best overall stability I do recommend swapping out the standard screws with ones that are 2mm longer.
I also left an opening so the camera angle is still adjustable even with the prop guards installed.
I reccomend to use Filaments that are strong but not too brittle i´ve listed some that would work bellow in the parts list. I used PETG-CF and am pretty pleased. I also asume that most CF Filaments should work well except PLA-CF. Filaments without CF can of course also be used but keep in mind that if it is too brittle it will shatter on impact and if it is too soft it will bend to much and might cause the props to be damaged. Suprisingly PLA Tough worked better than expected but will still break on harder impacts. PETG also worked faily well but will bend into the props and then shave of a bit of the prop-ends but this doesnt pose immediate problems.
Print Time is ~2h 50min with ~60g of Filament used. I kept the supports minimal and they are easy to remove.
I´ll upload a standard PETG Print Profile for now but in case any of you need a print profile for a different type of material and use the app let me know and i can upload another.
Hope you enjoy!
