Description

Hi everyone! I really like hifko's original model as it's super useful and wanted to make a single handle using all of the supported base sizes that they had created. Since it was useful for me I hope it's useful for everyone else. I am not an engineer or anything so this is a super basic modification that may not be perfect. Please also go support hifko's model it's super great.

As instructed in the original model, once you get this print off the plate you need to put slight force to each jaw in both directions in order to free the jaws. Then rotate the the center piece with the same force to free it as well.

Update 12/30:
Added a variant with a larger bottom surface area to help bed adhesion and general ability for it to stand up on it's own without falling over.

It printed flawlessly, the mechanism works perfectly. Only one suggestion: it would be awesome to somehow allow us to add weight to the bottom of it.

Thanks for the review! While i haven't experimented wiry weights I do have an alternate version in a separate profile that has a wider footprint on the bottom which helps it stand on its own better. Hope you take a look at that one and let me know how you like it!

Put an infill modifier around the base and set it to 85%. Adds lots of weight.

works brilliantly, performs exactly the way intended after you snap the connections, and unlike the citadel version, I haven't accidentally launched any minis since switching to this one!

Based on the photo I'm guessing you had some trouble with getting the jaws or the center piece free. I have had some issues with the mechanical parts getting free depending on the filament I've used and how much moisture is in that filament. If you have to use more pressure than what you'd twist a bottle cap off then I'd say that the issue is those two factors. Passed this im not too sure. I use sunlu pla plus in black for the most part and never had problems with that. Thank you for trying to print it nonetheless.

Hi, thank you very much for your advice. However I was using the matte gray bamboo filament. I'll try using a different one

This one was a tough print in PETG. Had to adjust some Bed Adhesion settings and also print with the plate at 80c, but after 2 failures at around the same spot, I finally got a success! (Kinda because 1 of the 3 arms don't work, but it is still usable!)

I can imagine it's rougher to print in PETG, I'm happy it works though!. If you are running into bed adhesion issues, I uploaded a new version of this handle with a wider bottom so it should have more sticking power. Thanks for printing!

love this print. I will be using right away. For the designer I wonder if there is a way to add/incorporate a sliding pressure locking mechanism to hold the jaws in place so it cant accidentally move and release the piece being held
