Description
This is my take on a simple, reliable ceiling light cable hook designed to help you position a hanging lamp exactly where you want it. Clean, sturdy, easy to print, and customizable.
---
Features
- Prints flat for better strength and durability
- Designed for a 6 mm cable (5.7 mm hole for a snug fit)
- Uses a standard M4 screw (compatible with Crampon 6 mm wall plugs)
- Includes a parametric Fusion 360 file for custom adjustments (even from MakerWorld, no Fusion 360 needed!)
- Includes a small cap to hide the screw and keep things neat
Customization
| Parameter | |
| screw_diameter | Screw diameter |
| screw_margin | Clearance added to ensure the screw fits properly |
| wire_diameter | Cable diameter |
| wire_diameter_margin | Clearance/tightening for the cable hole (negative for a tighter grip) |
| offset_cap | Clearance applied to the cap |
Printing Tips
- Print lying flat to maximize strength.
- Use a material suitable for the load you plan to suspend (PETG, ABS, ASA recommended, PLA+/Pro for light load).
- Make sure to choose a wall/ceiling anchor that matches your ceiling type.
