Description

Trading at Christmas markets (or others) can be hectic. Avoid chaos in the cash-box; make change quickly so as not to miss the next customer. This cash box keeps notes and coins in an order. Designed for UK coins and notes but can still be used with other currencies.

  • Clamp pocket to secure the box to the table - avoids it getting knocked over or swiped
  • £5, £10 and £20 note pockets - thumb notches for easy not handling
  • Coin sorting columns for £2, £1, 50p and 20p coins
  • 2 x £1 columns as there are always a lot more £1 coins
  • Keep the small change separate and easy to access in 2 scooped pockets

When printing ensure that the support is cleared from the hinge pins for an easy fit.
This has been used successfully at this year's Christmas markets and made things run much more smoothly making change easier and keeping customers transactions flowing.

For USA: There is now a heavily revised version of this model designed specifically for US currency.

You may be the first to have printed it in PETG, looks like it came out nicely. Thanks for the Star rating

yeah came out really well. It’s so hot in the UK atm really didn’t want a melting/warping PLA box 😂

I've been using the Polymaker High Temperature PLA, its good for well over 100 degrees C and not a bad price on Amazon. It has a nice semi matte surface so looks really good.

A great print I’m going to take it to the flea market with me Sunday. I made mine with glow-in-the-dark.

That looks fantastic, thanks for the pictures. Good luck on Sunday. I'm assuming from the term 'flea market' that you are in the US? This was designed for UK notes and coins, if the sizings don't work out, let me know what adjustments would work and I can look at a US version if necessary.

I have a US version that can be tested now, if you respond to my direct message in chat, it will let me attach the new 3mf for you to try.

Thanks for the pictures and the Star rating. It looks like there was a bed adhesion problem with the front right corner of the lid, fortunately that has still worked functionally though. I guess there was contamination on the build plate or a draft that caused that.

Like the box but we need one for Australian currency ie: $5 to $50 notes and 20c to $2 coins. Please help to design one :) The scouts will appreciate it.

I will take a look, can you provide me the note and coin sizes for Australian currency please. I might have time next week to do something for you.

Love this box - any for Canadian currency?

I could adjust the sizes for canadian money in a model, but don't want to waste the print time and plastic to create the picture necessary to publish it. If you message me directly in the chat I will create a Canadian 3MF that you can print if you commit to testing the print and sharing with me pictures of the printed item, so that I can publish the print profile.

Great! We had an overly heavy box made for dollars before, this one is just so much easier. Printed perfectly. Couple of suggestions: raise the floor of the coinslots a few mm; getting the last coin out can be a little bit fiddly. Also a way to lock it would be nice, just needs a hole for a little padlock. Or even nicer, somewhere to thread through a bicycle chain-lock (maybe in the clamp hole) so you can secure it to a table leg at market. But it's great anyways, thanks!

Do you mean something like this?

If you message me in chat I can send the US 3mf file to you in chat soo that you can test it. I can't publish it here as I have no printed photo of it (there's little point in me printing it as I have no US currency to test it with).

Any way you can send me the USA version thaks

You will need to message me in in the makerworld chat, it will then enable me to send you a file. I have not yet published the US 3mf as the rules require that I have pictures of prints from the profile, which would use quite a bit of filament and leave me with a cash box I cannot use. If you print the shared file and provide me with photos via 'chat' I will be able to share the US profile for all.

I have prepared a US version, but cannot confirm that it has the correct sizes as I have no US notes or coins. If you message me, I can attach the US 3mf file to a reply so that you can test it. If you can confirm that it is right, I will be able to publish it.
